An "UnKeynote"? How Will That Work?

An unconference is a conference where the content of the meeting is driven and created by the participants rather than by a single organizer.  Never having been to one, I'm not really in a position to comment...but I will anyway.  Doesn't that sound like a conversation?  A group of people getting together and just talking about what they want to talk about?

Jeff Jarvis is taking it one step further and is planning on giving an "UnKeynote"
I’ll throw out some questions/goals and have the people in the room decide on the agenda and then enable them to share what they know — which is more than I know — as I do what I do at unconferences: I play Oprah.
The purpose of a keynote speech is to set the underlying tone and summarize the core message or most important revelation of the event.  I can see having a traditional keynote and then moving into unconference mode, but how can you get everyone on the right page to begin with if you just open it up from the start?
