Search Engine Watch: Google Calendar launches today, and it's a strong release, with a number of features not found in other calendaring applications.
Search Engine Watch #2: Google Calendar is a very strong initial release, with a good balance between powerful features and ease of use. The ability to easily work with multiple calendars and the sharing features are particularly appealing, especially for people who are dissatisfied with their current calendar application. But it needs an easy way to synch with Outlook..
TechCrunch: My overall impression: Excellent. The abilit to share via web publishing or RSS shows Google’s commitment to an open stardard. And this application is impressive in its speed and stability.
Google Blogoscoped: “There’s still some room to improve, of course. It sounds like an API is planned but isn’t available yet. I’m sure people will want deeper integration with Outlook (not just export), as well as phones/PDAs.”
GigaOm: Someone who is gotten spoiled by 30Boxes and Zimbra’s calendaring application, Google Calendar is going to look pretty mundane. Thank you, Om! Someone who agrees with me!
Chris Pirillo: Who the [bleep] cares? C'mon, Chris, tell us how you really feel!
