Know More: Email, Goofs, Micro, Persuasion 2.0, Persuasion

According to B.L. Ochman, a publicist sent a press release to Steve Rubel over at Micro Persuasion. Logically enough, Steve blogged about it. He even sent an email ahead of time asking "Can I run with this?" but the publicist didn't respond quickly enough.

The press release, which forecasted the growth of social spending, contained some inaccurate information (the release date of the report?) and the publicist contacted B.L. to find out how she could get Rubel's post deleted.

He told her what any blogger would tell her - you can't. Once the send button is pushed you have lost all control of that email. Life moves fast with email. My advice - stay on top of your email if you have something in the fire. Minutes count, so make sure your company's wireless extends to the bathrooms!
