When I'm reading a newspaper, a catchy, funny headline might be what I need to pull me into a story. And I do love a good headline. But if I'm keyword searching for news, I know what I'm after. Your catchy headline isn't what pulls me in. Your headline using the terms I searched for is what will do it.~SearchEngineWatchI wonder what the ratio of people searching for news on a particular topic is vs. those just browsing. Current news is most probably found by browsing where a catchy title helps best. Past news would need more keywords.
So tell me, SEO experts - is using keywords within your post less efficient that using them in the title? How about tagging?
This has been discussed over at MicroPersuasion. Also see Radiant Marketing Group I couldn't access the referenced article at Donata, but it looks interesting.
