Yet another Bush administration scandal. HUD Secretary Alphonso Jackson has denied contracts to people who "have a problem with" Bush.

"Why should I reward someone who doesn't like the president, so they can use funds to try to campaign against the president? Logic says they don't get the contract. That's the way I believe."

Daily Kos reports that Jackson's spokesperson claims the story was just anecdotal, even though on May 3rd she said she knew which contractor Jackson was talking about.

Crooks and Liars and Eschaton don't bother even commenting - they just call for Jackson's resignation.

Wonkette's sources tell them, among other things, that "before taking the helm at HUD, Jackson ran three different housing authorities, all of which had serious problems — some related to his (mis)management of them."
