Is New Media Fractionalizing Society?
Chartreuse believes that the internet and new media are fractionalizing society - we are becoming less united, less of a society at all.  In the comments he said:
This is the stuff no one seems to be worried about.
I would argue acts of terrorism and violence are to be expected in a society like we are creating.
It isn't so much a sense of isolation as it is just a lack of sameness, an over-uniqueness.  Can we still be a society, a culture, with this lack of communal identity?

Maybe Liz is right, maybe we it is the discipline that is missing due to the lack of truly hard work.
