 I really hate that this is coming out of my mouth, but when I was a kid we had hardly any days off at all. The regular holidays, sure. Volcano days (when Mt. St. Helens was active) a couple of times and maybe one teacher day a year. I live on a street with lots of kids and an elementary school just down two block and it seems that every two weeks they are on half-day or completely out of school for one thing or another. That's got to be heck on parent's work schedules as well. |
