News Floozy: Bush 29% and Sinking; NSA Telephone Scandal; Patrick Henry Rolling in Grave
Today is the first "only working a little bit" Fridays.  It actually feels good - the day stretches ahead with the prospect of winery hopping this afternoon.  If only my @#%&* body didn't hurt so much from all that damn running I've been foolishly doing.

I do not understand why most Americans see the Phone number database as a big issue. This has nothing to do with whether you are a Republican or Democrat, but rather your rights as an American citizen.

How is it possible for them to say they can figure out terrorist links just by looking at phone numbers? If you call a certain number 35 times do you go to a special database? And how do they know who you are and what is contained in that call? They would have to know your name and record your conversations, otherwise what is the point of collecting phone numbers?

Lastly, the arguement that we give up our credit information and bank information to what is happening today is the same thing is nuts. YOU choose to apply for a credit card, You CHOOSE to apply for a job, You Choose to apply for an apartment, a mortgage, etc. You are given a choice..but in this case there was no choice.

If people do not care, then lets have an opt in and opt out policy on the phone numbers. I would be interested to see who would opt in - so that the government can keep track of your phone number. I suspect that not many Americans would.

The American people are so uninformed they do not realize the government is listening in on tens of millions of people that have NO ties to Al Kaida what-so-ever. This is just the beginning. Wake up. Don't you see fascist America rising. I am sooooo happy I have no grandchildren to inherit this lying, theiving, selfish, racist, fascist, Nazi ruled government we are leaving them. Will somebody hurry up and blow Bush so we can impeach him!!!

Bush still has a ways to go before he reaches the nadir enjoyed by some foreign presidents. A while back I remember reading that Pres. Alejandro Toldeo in Peru had like a ten percent approval rating. Ouch.
