News Floozy: Bush Breaks 750 Laws, Doc turns Japanese, Stephen Colbert Turns the Knife

After three solid days of wine drinking, barefoot dancing and staying out 'til all hours, this is one tired floozy. Let's get straight to the news:

Daily Kos: "President Bush has quietly claimed the authority to disobey more than 750 laws enacted since he took office, asserting that he has the power to set aside any statute passed by Congress when it conflicts with his interpretation of the Constitution." All that wine didn't make me sick, but this makes me want to totally hurl.

Doc Searles: "...if this were a podcast, I'd play [Turning Japanese] ... while pointing to David Sifry's latest State of the Blogosphere post, where he notes that Japanese has become the top blogging language" Umm, Doc? You know that song isn't about becoming a person from Japan, right?

Hugh Hewitt: "Today's march will be huge, extensively covered, and without effect." Except to rile up the right wingers.

The Huffington Report contains a transcript of Stephen Colbert's quickly-becoming-notorious White House Correspondant's dinner speech. Apparently the President and First Lady were unamused and left quickly afterwards. (scroll down to see the transcript).
