News Floozy: Crazy Troops, Big Bang, Dina Lohan, Bush Talks

Lovely, lovely weather this weekend. 84 degrees and today is suppost to be in the 90's! Spent five hours flyfishing the Yakima Canyon right in the middle of a huge caddis hatch. Simply amazing. The A-Listers, however, were hard at work, typing frantically:

Daily Kos: "U.S. military troops with severe psychological problems have been sent to Iraq or kept in combat, even when superiors have been aware of signs of mental illness..." I know some of you are thinking it - their psychological state is a little suspect anyway since they are in the military.

Dvorak Uncensored: "We were so surprised by the finding that there is another classical, pre-Big Bang universe that we repeated the simulations with different parameter values over several months, but we found that the Big Bounce scenario is robust.” Am I the only one that thinks physics is sexy?

Gawker (about Dina Lohan's new book): "Aimed at mothers who want to transform their innocent, talented children into floozy cash-cows, the book will be a guide to pimping and pushing your womb into a lucrative brand." No real comment - I just love that sentence!

Wonkette (about why they will watch Bush's speech): "We’ll probably watch the damn speech, in case he throws out something weird and unexpected, like the deployment of Park Rangers along the Canadian border or trained and deputized Polar Bears guarding the Bering Strait (how cute would that be!)."
