Kent Newsome brings up some very valid questions about blogger conferences - questions that I've asked myself as well.

One of the commenters said: "Think of BloggerCon as a "users group" rather than a vendor supported conference and it makes more sense." It does make more sense that way. However, one major problem with all of the conferences "going around" is differentiation. What makes one conference different from another? Why should I attend your conference?

After all, the very same people are attending almost all of the conferences. The very same speakers are talking at the conferences. The very same attendees are attempting to monopolize the discussion during the speaker's presentations. At least with "corporate shilling" we get cool schwag and an introduction to what products are on the horizon.
