For those of you not aware, the World Cup is being held in Germany - the beer center of the universe. Budweiser shelled out the most money for exclusive sponsorship, which, as you'd expect, really upset the Germans. The World Cup comes to your town but all you can drink is the flavored water that is Bud?
Anyhoo, the Germans set up a anti-Bud website Bud Out, and, according to BL Ochman, call Bud by a name that translate to "dishwater".
To "protect the sponsor's rights" officials at the World Cup stadium made Netherland's fans remove their orange team pants because they displayed the logo of a Dutch Brewery.
AdHurl reports on Der Spiegel's Bud expose:
"Apparently in an attempt to placate the Germans, the company agreed to allow German beer to be sold alongside its Bud. But once the fans were inside the stadium… No Bitburger – The reporter was forced to drink Bud."

Hey, if you want to go to Germany and try out there beer, check out this site. JumpTV.com is apparenlty giving away a trip to the final match of the game? It is legit as there is some press about the company, but I don't think anyone knows about the contest; seems like it would mean there is a good chance of wining (http://www2.jumptv.com/landingpages/sweepstakes.htm?ref=e_b_worldcup_%20nMark).
