Self-described as "a weblog of cultural curiosities and interesting technologies." Boing Boing "won the Lifetime Achievement and Best Group Blog awards at the 2006 Bloggies ceremony."
According to Wikipedia, Boing Boing started as a zine in 1988 and was a major influence on the cyberpunk subculture. In 1995 it became a website and turned into a blog in 2000.
Currently, the team of writers includes founder Mark Frauenfelder, sci fi novelist Cory Doctorow, science writer David Pescovitz (check out his link, very humorous), 'cultural journalist' and terminally cool Xeni Jardin, and tech guru John Battelle.
The authors are prolific, with 15-20 posts a day, all imparting cool trivia, fascinating facts and insights into the sci fi and tech worlds.
While I can't possibly read every single post, I do make sure to scan their feed daily. The biggest problem I see with Boing Boing? I can waste too much time reading their posts and clicking on the links they have.
