Daily Kos prefers to call itself a "Democratic blog with one goal in mind: electoral victory" rather than a liberal blog. It is opinionated, eclectic and, at times, aggravating.
The Daily Kos blog is unusual in that it is the product of a group of people, including owner Markos Zuniga. Posts by individuals are called 'diaries' and content is strictly monitored by Kos. Writers are allowed (even encouraged) to remain 'anonymous' - although their own egos often sabotage the effort.
It sounds as though I dislike Daily Kos, and I don't. It makes for interesting reading, often intelligent and thoughtful and the comments range from enlightening to amusing. Unfortunately, Kos' problems sometimes overshadow the writing.
Daily Kos is ranked #14 on Technorati.
