Keith Ryan's blog has been running for 6 years and I'd classify it as a "personality"blog. The blog takes the form of reverse-chronological web pages, each page a separate month. At times funny, what strikes me is the non-sequitor style of the posts - I don't really stay engaged. Another problem, no RSS feed or comments - vital in an A-List blog. Sorry, Keith - not A-List material.
Red Marilyn on the other hand has some potential as a middle-road political blog. I like the use of images, but add some padding so the text doesn't run right against them. You've got a great voice, but if you want to go A-List try using stronger words and state your opinion strongly. No RSS is a problem - as are the archives - 2+ clicks to see previous posts stopped me from looking too much in depth. Finally, post often! Most A-Listers post daily (even multiple times a day). Only real stars like Scoble can get away with skipping a day or two. If you had an RSS feed I'd add you to my watch list, so let me know when you add one!
