Daily Kos' Markos Zuniga is profiled by the GOP and bloggers are amused. I thought this comment was apropos:
Boing Boing points out that the "Maine Mystery Beast" was, in fact, a dog. How disappointing.Sometimes, people who blog a lot seem to forget that blogging is a small universe and most people out in the real world know little or nothing about it.
If the story goes anywhere, it will be through radio and tv talking heads repeating it on fox &c. That might have some impact, I think. But, it will be principally among people who don't blog and probably will not go to the site, anyway.
I'm not sure I agree with the BBC that giving into tension occasionally is "easier on your system". I tend to either scream at my husband or curl into a little ball in the corner - neither of which seem very healthy.
Hard on the insulting Forbes story, comes this account of one women's trek of the Appalachian Trail.
Diane, this is hillarious! Especially that part about the Mysterious Maine beast being a dog...Great post.
