Wolfgang Priklopil, the Austrian who held teen Natascha Kampusch captive for eight years used exclusively a Commodore 64. 

I first learned to program Basic on a Commodore 64, saving all of my programs onto cassette tape.  According to Boing Boing and Slashdot, Austrian police are having trouble figuring out how to transfer the data to a modern PC without losing data.

Remember when the Commodore was state-of-the-art?  My brother had friends who would swap game cartridges, so we always had the latest games.
