Blog Business Summit Wrap Up
It was very difficult for me to blog on Friday because the sessions were so fantastic and I was meeting so many interesting people!  Luckily some people were able to take really great notes:

Tim Stay of Know More Media and Dustin at Rain City Real Estate covered Robert and Maryam Scoble's funny, engaging and warm-hearted presentation on 10 Ways to a Killer BlogNot only was the information top-notch, as you'll see from the links, but it was lovely to see such an animated, loving couple talk so enthusiastically about blogging.

The session about Podcasting & Videocasting Best Practices didn't really go much into best practices, but I was introduced to zefrank.com and his great videos.  Robert Scoble expounded on the joys of a $4,000 HD camera, which admitting that most (if not all) of his Microsoft Channel 9 'casts were done with a camera costing less that $500.  I can't find any links to posts about this presentation - if you have one, let me know so I can add it.

John Battelle at Blog Business SummitJohn Battelle's presentation was killer - he was by far the most polished speaker at the conference, which isn't surprising considering his background in education.  The biggest thing I got out of his presentation was that Search Drives Value.  I'll address this topic in the future over at DoRealTime.

The Blogging and SEO Strategies presentation was blogged very well by Joseph Thornley, who stopped by to introduce himself between sessions.  John Battelle, Tris Hussey and Dave Taylor gave real things that bloggers can do to increase the likelihood of readers finding them.

Attendees at Blog Business Summit Listen IntentlyWe were all getting a little tired at the end, and my own notes are spotty on the Future of Blogging.  What I remember best is that many very cool apps are in their infancy now.  Things like the ability to use your cellphone to scan a barcode of a wine bottle while at the store.  Immediately a search would return comments on the wine, the average price of the wine in your area, the location of the store with the least-expensive bottle and how many they have in stock.  With another click you could reserve several bottles.

As I mentioned, I met so many cool people at the Blog Business Summit, and I want to share their blogs with you.  I'll do that in another post, though.  You've sat through this long one very patiently!

Hey Diane! It was great meeting you at BBS. I'm a reader of your now. I may have to hit you up for some notes from the sessions that I missed while attending another session at the same time. Again, great meeting you! Blake

Hi Diane,
It was a treat to meet you. I've been subscribed to AListReview for a long time. And it was neat to meet the person behind the writing.

Thank you! I love knowing there are real people out there reading my blogs!

Thanks, Blake! I'm looking forward to your apps that will be released in the near future. You'll hear from me by email...
