
While huge site PokerStars says your money is currently safe and they don't plan to close down US accounts, three British-based betting companies -- PartyGaming, 888.com and Sportingbet -- said they will cease accepting payments from U.S. players.
Once the bill is signed, the US Treasury Department will have 9 months to write regulations and rules.
"This will not end the industry; it will just evolve with new sites stepping up to replace the old ones," Kisberg said. "New third-party payment processes will come up. It might involve non-U.S. bank accounts or sending payment to someone in the U.K. There will be hundreds of ways around it."
