Doug Morris, CEO of Universal Music Group (part of Vivendi Universal, NYSE: V), has let the YouTube video-sharing Web site know it: "owes his conglomerate ‘tens of millions of dollars’ for allowing copyrighted music videos to be posted without permission."
Kent Newsome points out that the conversation only started after people started speculating about YouTube's worth.
Personally, I go to YouTube when I'm bored or when I want to find a particular clip. Would something else come up to post Monty Python clips and videos of stupid things people do? Of course.
