 NewsBusters.org, meanwhile, is upset because the New York Times thinks Saddam's trial wasn't fair and his death penalty should be delayed. With the same solicitude it reserves for politically-correct domestic criminals, the Times editorial of this morning opines that Saddam's trial "fell somewhere short" of "an exemplary exercise in the rule of law." In the Times' view, the trial represented neither "full justice" nor "full fairness."  |
