Regular readers, whom I adore, will notice rather strange blogging for the past month or so. Several posts appear one day and the next one puny post or nothing at all. So what's the problem?
I've been experimenting with different ways of organizing my work. Previously, I blogged first thing in the morning, a time when I am fresh and raring to go. Unfortunately, my blogging (and blog reading) would stretch out until 10, at which time my brain goes into a slow decline, culminating in total brain dead stupidity around 2:00 in the afternoon and rising thereafter slowly until I get smart and funny again around 8 PM.
I decided it made sense to use my most productive time to do my most demanding work - which worked well for my business, but not so well for blogging, because apparently blogging requires that fresh, first-thing-in-the-morning brain. Besides History Channel starts getting good at 8 in the evening.
So, I played around with my schedule - blogging after lunch and blogging during breaks. Unfortunately that meant that most of the time blogging was interrupted by a vital Sudoku or Spider Solitaire session.
I'm beginning to detect a certain lack of discipline...but I digress. Obviously I need to make another schedule.
So, I'm back to blogging in the morning, but I'm waking up an hour earlier. I'm also creating a sense of urgency by setting an alarm which limits my blogging and blog reading to an hour. Actually my blog reading hasn't been as much of a problem since Chartreuse went off the air...
Anyhoo, hopefully the new schedule will work a little better and result in more quality posting for you. At least until I tweak it again...
