Well there are many things that the blogosphere is buzzing about - troop escalation, the iPhone, Browster's death, and, of course, CES. I, however, am fascinated by things in bottles:
Maybe it is the futility of it - why spend your time making these? Maybe its the creativity. Maybe I'm just tired of war and electronics and anything novel captures my spirit like flypaper. Like the fact that Mark McGwire was not voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame (no worries, he has 15 more years to be eligible).
I wouldn't say it restored my faith in professional sports or the integrity of sports writers, but it was satisfying in a petty, vindictive sort of way.
